They/Them Travel is about accessible, inclusive, and human-paced travel.
We believe travel should be restorative, welcoming, and accessible—for everyone. Accessibility is about more than ramps and elevators. It is also about belonging, comfort, sensory needs, family dynamics, and having enough information to travel well. We also believe people who experience disabilities should not have to become travel professionals to learn what support may already exist for them.
As a family that includes neurodivergent and gender-expansive members, we have learned that doing less often leads to richer experiences. One main activity per day. Time to rest. Space to retreat. Kitchens, quiet rooms, and flexibility when plans change.
Travel is not one-size-fits-all.
A place can have accessible parking and still not feel welcoming. Conversely, a place can be imperfect physically but deeply hospitable. We write about travel through the lens of accessibility, belonging, and real family experiences.
